“As a preface to this review, I want to say that I am extremely picky when it comes to buying any product or service. It takes a week worth of research just to buy a pair of earbuds… when a product or service does not preform as advertised, it kills me inside. I feel like nowadays nothing is really 5 stars. Stuff is made cheap and people want to cut corners. Jim truly bucks this trend, he embodies 5/5 stars. Jim was invaluable when buying our first home. It took us a while to find something we wanted in our budget and Jim was supportive the whole way. Jim was not pushy and did not try to sell us on stuff we did not want. Even after 3+ months of looking and 90+ showings, it felt like his only frustration was that we were frustrated we hadn’t found “the one” yet (which was especially valuable to my fiancé). I really do believe Jim wanted us to find the house we wanted regardless of how long it took or how much effort he had to put in. There were a couple of times Jim talked us down from making hasty decisions, keeping us from settling and end up with us getting one of our favorite houses we viewed. Jim has the integrity and character you want in real estate agent. He was constantly available and very responsive. He also used his background in home building to help educate us on what to watch out for on older homes. He gave us a wholistic picture of what maintenance would look like on different properties and the cost of different repairs that might be needed. Even when he didn’t know, he found out for us. He was very proactive with paperwork and even put in a couple of late nights for us. If I buy another home in the Dallas area, I will certainly be using Jim again and I would recommend him to friends, family, and random strangers on realtor.com!”
